A one year post-doc position is offered at ENS in Laboratoire Kastler Brossel in Paris, in the "cold atom "group. The team involved in studying the BEC of metastable helium, headed by Claude Cohen Tannoudji and Michele Leduc, is looking for a experimentalist physicist with excellent skills preferably in laser cooling or possibly in atomic or condensed matter physics. The project is to exploit the new potentialities opened up by the recent achievement of a helium BEC, including cold collisions, condensation formation, new detection schemes and various studies taking advantage of the large internal energy of the condensed metastable atoms.
