Training aspects
Pre-doctoral
and post-doctoral young researchers will receive specific training in key
techniques for the high-tech industrial areas. They will also get a broader
and more thorough training in the key cold quantum gases technologies than
what could be provided by a single lab or institute. The young reserchers
will work under the supervision of the local senior scientist and in close
collaboration with the whole respective team of each node. They will greatly
benefit from the international atmosphere and the expertise of modern physics
management. In this context, they will also receive training with respect
to their ability to work in teams towards a challenging project. In order
to enhance and stimulate the learning process the Network will organize
Annual Workshops where the young researchers are expected to present and
defend their scientific results. Moreover, the networking of the young
researchers and the knowledge exchange at both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral
level will be intesified by organizing specialized meetings for young researchers.
Young researchers of the Network, in turn, will be requested to organize
these meetings, known as the Young Atom Optician Meetings (YAO). Few young
researchers annualy selected to be in charge for these meetings will be
responsible for the planning and organization. The YAO will attract young
researchers from a large physics community.
